An independent press that started with a child's stories.

Cordelyn began with a four-year-old telling stories she couldn't yet write down, and a father who saw what they were really about: how a mind grows — trying again, asking why, changing your mind on purpose. The first books came from that. The conviction underneath them became the press.

The press takes its name from her — Cordelia Lynn — and the imprint carries forward what the stories were already about.

Across forms and ages — picture books to long arguments to the first lessons in money — the list shares a point of view, not a household: that people are formed best when they're taught to think, and that it begins at home and carries across generations. We began with the family's own books and publish other authors who share the conviction. What Cordelyn publishes, it keeps — a growing body of work meant to be inherited, not only sold.

We publish slowly. We write plainly. We take a side: thinking over compliance, formation over management, the long view across generations. The list will grow; the conviction won't change.
